Our 2016 Benefit car show will be held on June 25th from 9am-3pm at Scotty's Bar & Pizza located at 3921 S. Clement Ave, Milwaukee, WI along with the use of the Masonic Lodge Parking lot across the street. In addition there will be on-start parking.
The show is to benefit the Lance Sijan Fighter Plane fund. Capt Lance Sijan had his F4C Fighter blow up on him while flying a mission over Laos during the Viet Nam War. He was able to eject and landed in the jungle with a fractured skill, concussion, broken leg, mangled hand, etc. and was able to evade capture for 56 days. He escaped from his captors only to be re-caught and transferred to the Hanoi Hilton POW Camp were he died shortly after that.
His sister has a static display of his F4C at the old 440th Unit at Mitchell Field on E. College Ave and has to move it at her expense. We want to help her with his worthy cause for her Brother, an outstanding Air Force example who is the recipient of the Medal of Honor.
We have also been able to locate his 1965 Corvette that he bought new while at the Air Force Academy. After some investigation, we were pleasantly surprised to find out it was located right here in Wisconsin in the Oconomowoc area. The car and its owner will be our guests of honor at our show.
Here is a copy of our flyer, pre-register and join in on the activities (maybe even win a trophy)...
